Fife Children's Book Festival (Twilight & more...)

The Regent Cinema has joined with Fife Libraries for the fore coming Fife Children’s Book Festival.

On Thursday 16th September the Byre Theatre Outreach will be performing; “Little Light – Theatre for Little Ones”, come and explore the world of the Little Light in this beautifully interactive and visual performance which has been specially created for children aged 0 – 5. Shows will be taking place at 10:00AM, 11:15AM & 01:45PM

That evening the Regent will be doing a special screening of the hit teen movie; Twilight (12a), the movie will start at 7:30PM tickets priced at £2.50 all ages. Tickets for Twilight are available at the door or in advance at Leven Library. Once Twilight concludes we will be showing The Sorcerers Apprentice at 9:45PM at a lower price!

On Wednesday 22nd September at 10:30AM we will be showing the children’s movie “Lost and Found”, this touching and emotional story of love, loss and friendship will touch a chord with every little soul fro whom the world is a big and scary place. The Lost and Found book and film event gives adults the chance to share the book with children and then come together with others for a screening of the film, followed by a short feedback. Tickets for Lost & Found are available at the door or in advance at Leven Library.

On Thursday 23rd September at 10:15AM - The Water Horse – Book and Film Event tells the touching story of how a mythical sea creature transforms the life of a lonely little boy. As their lives become entwined it seems the only way to save Crusoe is for Angus to let him go but how can he say goodbye to such a special friend? This story by cherished children’s writer Dick King-Smith examines families, feelings & relationships and gives us a rare glimpse of the secret life of the Highlands as Scotland prepares for the dark days of World War 2.  Tickets for The Water Horse will be available at the door.
